Thank you for stopping by to visit West Kentucky Rescue web site. Visit our pages for Rescues Available if you are looking for a new friend. If you don't see a dog there you are interested in, let us know by using the Contact Us button in the sidebar. We may be able to put you on our waiting list or know of someone that has what you are looking for.

Those of us in rescue are also in the business of educating the public to the dangers of pet stores and the puppy mills who supply them with puppies.

There are millions of animals currently in shelters, pounds and in rescue across the United States. If you really want a dog to love and to love you back, you need look no further.

A dog or puppy is a lifetime commitment for the life of the animal. This means you will have this dog for 10 to 15 years or longer. Make sure you research the breed you like to determine whether or not this breed will suit you and your family and your lifestyle. There are breeds to suit hikers, runners and couch potatoes. Don't get a breed with high energy levels if you aren't into what it takes to give your friend proper exercise. Don't get a breed that wants to snooze on the couch if you're an active individual or family and expect this new member of your family to go with you on your excursions.

Again, thank you for visiting. We hope you enjoy your visit and will come back often to see the changes being made and the animals we have available. You might even be able to learn something while visiting. By all means tell your friends about us. While you're here, visit our Special Needs dogs.

Hugs and tail wags!!
